The Bottle That Helps Them Sleep Better – Avent Classic+ Baby Bottle Review
Feeding babies isn’t always easy. I know first hand how hard it can be. When Victoria was born we had a couple good months of growth but then it all went down hill. We ended up having to switch to formula and trying lots of different bottles until we found one she liked. With Edward I wanted to do my best to breastfeed but be prepared to switch if anything went wrong again.
I remember how much Victoria liked some of the Philips Avent products so when an opportunity came up to write review some I figured it was fate!
Our journey started with the Philips Avent Classic+ Baby Bottle.
I figured I’d start here because Victoria had issues with swallowing too much air when she ate and the Classic+ bottle is clinically proven to reduce colic and fussing. They designed a valve that lets air into the bottle and not your child’s stomach.
With only three pieces (bottle, collar, and nipple) I found the bottle goes together quickly and easily. With a screaming, hungry baby I didn’t want to be hunting for lots of little pieces. The wide bottle and rounded edges make it easy to clean and disinfect. I didn’t find any nooks or crannies for stale milk to hide.
From a mom’s perspective I think this bottle is great! It meets with my criteria: helps with gassy/colicky babies, easy to clean, no tiny pieces to lose, and easy leakproof assembly.
From a baby’s perspective: it gets milk into Edwards tummy without extra air. He had very few complaints, other than maybe it wasn’t me who was feeding him. I on the other hand enjoyed that fact. Sometimes it’s nice to get a break!
